The outstanding natural forest in the city of Lilongwe that offers ecological, recreational, educational and economic benefits.
The primary objective for setting up Lilongwe Nature sanctuary aside as a protected area was to foster wildlife and conservation awareness to the public.
Wildlife includes Mammals’ e.g. common duiker, porcupine, bush pig, spotted hyena, civet cat, Vervet monkey and bushbuck. Reptiles includes Nile Crocodiles, African python, Puff adder, twig snake, green mamba and cobra and different species of birds.
